Biography of Ralph Nathaniel Fiennes

Ralph Nathaniel Twisleton-Wykeham Fiennes was born the eldest of six children to photographer Mark Fiennes and his novelist wife Jennifer ‘Jini’ Lash on the 22nd of December 1962 in Ipswitch, England. His siblings are as follows :
   • Martha Maria - a director
   • Magnus Hubert - a musician
   • Sophie - a producer
   • Joseph Alberic - an actor (twin)
   • Jacob Mark - a gamekeeper (twin)
   • Michael - an archaeologist adopted into the family
Aside from Ralph’s obvious claim to fame it should also be noted his cousin is British explorer Sir Ranulph Fiennes - famous for climbing Mount Everest.
His young life dominated by education was spent at Bishop Wordsworth Boys’s School, the Chelsea College of Art & Design, the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA), the Royal National Theatre Company in 1987 and finally the Royal Shakespeare Company in 1988.
Ralph married Alex Kingston, star of ER, in 1993 but the relationship ended in divorce finalised on 28th October 1997.
